The evening is a perfect snapshot of contemporary Australian comedy theatre, featuring a showcase of Australian talent; writers, directors and actors. Jules strikes again!  What is is about a cat that makes its owner love it more than his wife?  Jules is ill, he needs a new liver.  Greg (hubby) wants his wife to find a suitable cat, capture it and bring it home so he can get his butcher down the road to transplant the liver into Jules.  All this for only $10.000.  Greg’s wife is understandably angry and hurt.   Gerry Sont and Deborah Bradshaw were amazing as the husband and wife team and the play got a lot of laughs.  Poor Jules..

After the wonderful Week 5 of Short and Sweet (the biggest 10 minute play festival in the word!) competition was tough!  A lot of time and energy goes into rehearsing and each performance night is different.    There were dramas, absurd comedies and wonderfully written plays as well.

All is fair in love.. but when the love you give to your cat far exceeds the love you have for your partner… ok, so it’s not at all fair.
